U.S. News & World Report named Kettering Health Main Campus, Soin Medical Center, and Washington Township as 2022-2023 High Performing hospitals for Maternity Care.
“This recognition is a direct result of the excellent, high-quality care our maternity teams provide to our patients,” said Miriam Cartmell, network executive director of Kettering Health Women’s and Children’s Services. “It helps new and expectant parents feel confident in choosing a Kettering Health facility for maternity care.”
Theses facilities earned the High Performing designation by excelling on multiple quality metrics such as C-section rates in lower-risk pregnancies, newborn complication rates, exclusive breast milk feeding rates, early elective delivery rates, and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) rates, among other measures.
U.S. News evaluated nearly 650 hospitals that provide high-quality labor and delivery services for uncomplicated pregnancies for its 2022-2023 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care. Fewer than half of all hospitals that offer maternity care and participated in the survey received a High Performing designation.
