Starting January 1, 2018, Kettering Physician Partners (KPP) participating with UnitedHealthcare will be Tier 1 (KHN Choice Network) for our employee health plan. This means employees will get the highest level of medical coverage by using Kettering Health Network facilities and seeing a physician who is part of Kettering Physician Partners. Tier 2 (UHC Choice Network) will still be UnitedHealthcare providers.
A strategy for sustainability

We need to tackle the rising cost of care without sacrificing our commitment to you and to exceptional quality and patient experience. We believe we can achieve this by using our clinically integrated network, Kettering Physician Partners.
A clinically integrated network helps lower cost through more efficient care, strong care coordination, and strong care management. Over time, this helps improve quality and outcomes while driving down the overall cost of care.
Kettering Health Network is continuing to grow Kettering Physician Partners to increase capacity and improve access to care. We are continuing to work on improving timeliness of appointments, number of specialties, and access to physicians where you live.
You have a choice, and there is time to make decisions
This change takes effect January 1, 2018.
If your physician is not part of the Kettering Physician Partners, you may choose to find a Kettering Physician Partners provider for the highest level of coverage. You may also choose to continue seeing your current provider. Physicians who are not part of Kettering Physician Partners but participate with UnitedHealthcare will be covered as Tier 2.
