Update to Screening Process for Administrative Facilities Only

Read Time: 1 min

Screening at all facilities was implemented early in our COVID-19 response based on best practice guidance from the governor’s office and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).  We continue to monitor recommendations from ODH and based on updated guidelines and 100% completion of the employee attestation regarding self-monitoring, we have made the decision to modify the screening process in our administrative facilities: Prestige Place, Administrative Services Building (ASB), Austin Landing, Network Operations Command Center, and Dorothy Lane (Center for Nursing Excellence office) only.

As of Friday, September 4, on-site screening has been discontinued. Employees working onsite in these facilities will no longer be screened as they enter the building. They will solely be self-monitoring for COVID-related symptoms. To complete the daily symptom assessment, follow the guidelines below:

  • Take your temperature with a thermometer each day. If you have a fever at or above 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, stay home and contact Employee Health.
  • Monitor for other COVID-related symptoms including coughing, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing chills, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea. If these symptoms occur, stay home and contact Employee Health.
  • If your symptoms concern you, contact a doctor or use telemedicine.

Self-monitoring works with other safety measures including masking, social distancing, hand hygiene, and regular cleaning to reduce risk of exposure. Facilities across Kettering Health Network will transition to self-monitoring as they reach 100% completion of the employee attestation.

Thank you for working together to make Kettering Health Network a safe place to work and receive care.
