Updated Screening Process for Employees and Physicians

Read Time: 1 min

As of Friday, October 9, employee and physician screening will be discontinued. Employees and physicians working on-site will no longer be screened as they enter the building but will be required to complete daily self-monitoring for COVID-19-related symptoms. To complete the daily symptom assessment, follow the guidelines below:

  • Take your temperature with a thermometer each day. If you have a fever at or above 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, stay home and contact Employee Health.
  • Monitor for other COVID-19-related symptoms including coughing, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chills, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. If these symptoms occur, stay home and contact Employee Health.
  • If your symptoms concern you, contact a doctor or use telemedicine.

Self-monitoring works with other safety measures including masking, social distancing, hand hygiene, and regular cleaning to reduce risk of exposure. All facilities across Kettering Health Network will now transition to self-monitoring since they have reached 100% completion of the employee and physician attestation.

Patients and visitors will receive a visitor sticker prior to entering the facility. If you see a patient or visitor that doesn’t have a sticker, direct them to a screening station.

Thank you for working together to make Kettering Health Network a safe place to work and receive care.
