Congratulations to Urvashi Patel, who was named Soin Medical Center’s September Employee of the Month! Urvashi works in the Lab.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Urvashi was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
“I wanted to share with you a story about Urvashi. Many times these nominations are for our employees helping the patients. This is about Urvashi helping another staff member. A staff member’s family member wanted me to know how appreciative she was for Urvashi. I asked her why, and she stated that when her husband had a stroke, she was worried about him going back to work. Urvashi reassured her that she would watch and take good care of her husband while he was at work. Any time the team member needed help with registration or a patient, Urvashi was right there helping him. The team member and his wife were so grateful for Urvashi being there and making sure all is well. This is why we do what we do. Looking after each other is just as important as taking care of our patients.”
