Utilization Review Team at Kettering Behavioral Earns Constellation Award

Read Time: 1 min

Congratulations to Utilization Review team at Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center, who was recognized with a Constellation Award in December:

  • Emily Allan
  • Lisa Boucher
  • Pam Marion
  • Marina Wilson

The award recognizes strong teams that come together to serve patients and each other. They demonstrate a calling to care, live the network’s values, and show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior. You can read their nomination story below:

“Very unexpectedly, the full-time Utilization Review staff member had to go on extended leave for 4-6 weeks. This team of dedicated employees stepped up at a moment’s notice and filled in all of the open shifts for the next five weeks and said they would be able to cover more if needed. What I really find amazing is that this all took place the very next day from being informed of the vacancies. It only took them one shift to get together and put a plan in place for the next five weeks. Thank you all for the extraordinary display of teamwork.”

“Utilization Review is an important role to the success of our organization. These staff work tirelessly to challenge insurance companies for reimbursement payment. Obtaining this reimbursement helps us with financial stability. Without the authorization and continued reviews, this would greatly impact our bottom line. We’d like to recognize a few ladies who recently stepped in when our Utilization Review nurse was out unexpectedly.”
