Read Time: 2 mins

Congratulations to Valerie Sorosiak, who was named Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center’s June Employee of the Month! Valerie is a care coordinator.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Valerie was nominated by two fellow employees, and you can read the nomination stories below:

“Valerie is a fantastic member of our team. She works so incredibly hard with the kids and their families to make sure that there is a solid plan for discharge and follow-up appointments. There are so many days that she has a huge workload to bear, and she doesn’t complain. She does everything she possibly can for these patients, no matter how angry they seem or how snippy they get. We love Val and we couldn’t do what we do without her.” -Mary Hindbaugh, RN

“Val is one of the most caring therapists in the building. She gives so much of her time and energy to the kids. The last few weeks have been extra busy on the unit. There was a day when Valerie was the only therapist on the unit. She had multiple family meetings and individual sessions. The families come in nervous and overwhelmed. The families leave her sessions feeling more prepared to take care of their children’s needs at home. What a blessing she is to those families! I feel lucky every day that I get to work with such an amazing person.” -Beth Routley, RN
