Volunteer with Helping Hands

Read Time: 1 min

We still need your help!

The Helping Hands Program has been active since 9/1/21 and placed 99 volunteers working over 900 hours in 25 departments (and counting) across the network. These hours worked have been instrumental in allowing our clinical staff to focus better on patient care. As our COVID census continues to rise, we still need your help in non-clinical roles to support our frontline staff. Common jobs include: cleaning nurses’ stations, taking out the trash, stocking isolation carts, etc.

In addition to these nonclinical roles, we have just rolled out the Care Cart program. At five of our facilities, we have time slots to pick up a cart with snacks, books, cards, etc. and go to several units to offer emotional and spiritual support to our staff.

To be added to the Helping Hands Teams page and to sign up for shifts, please complete the Helping Hands Volunteer Survey. Again, you will clock in and be paid your regular rate for these hours worked. Please reach out to helpinghands@ketteringhealth.org if you have additional questions.
