In accordance to the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Kettering Health Network has taken the following precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Ventilation Scans will NOT be performed with the initial perfusion scan. If the diagnosis remains unclear after the perfusion scan, then a ventilation scan will be performed.
- This will allow us to reduce the use of our PPE and the number of times we need to disinfect the ventilation units. This will also help limit exposure to our staff.
