Winter Storm Safety and Protocols

Read Time: 1 min

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for much of our region, as weather forecasts predict snow and ice starting this evening and continuing through Friday morning. Leaders throughout our system are actively planning and preparing for the weather and to maintain our ability to care for our communities. Our care teams and patients’ safety remains our top priority.

The anticipated weather may result in a Code Gray at many of our facilities. Please refer to the Kettering Health Emergency Operations policy linked here for guidance on attendance expectations. If you have questions or concerns about how the policy relates to your area, please contact your leader.

Please plan and consider how this weather may impact you. You may consider planning extra travel time or bringing spare clothes to work, in case it is safer to remain at a facility. The Emergency Management and Outreach team also outlined additional winter safety tips in the file linked here.

Campus administration teams will provide specific details about how the weather may impact their facility. For the latest weather information, you can click here to visit the National Weather Service website. Thank you for being so committed to each other and our communities.
