Congratulations to Jessica Roten, who was named Fort Hamilton’s November Employee of the Month! Jessica works in the Anticoagulation Services at the hospital.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Jessica was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Jessica is a wonderful example of someone living the mission every single day. She always puts her best foot forward in every aspect. Never to take shortcuts or the easy way out. I have worked along side of her in our Anti-Coag clinic for the past five years. In those five years, I have witnessed her do countless selfless acts for our patients! I just want to list a few of the things I’ve known her to do: sending patients birthday cards, sending family members sympathy cards when a patient passes, made soup and delivered to a patients home that wasn’t eating, delivered dosing instructions for Lovenox for a patients pre-op procedure to his home, had her children make and color cards to send to in a care package to a patient that was getting ready for surgery. Not one of the examples that I have listed was she required to do, but out of the goodness of her heart she did do them.”
