Kettering Physician Network

A Letter from the President: July 2017

Kettering Physician Network Team,

It’s been another exciting month for Kettering Physician Network! We had a great turnout for several events this month, including the Soin Family Practice Center Ribbon Cutting and Community Open House as well as the Summer Family Fun Fest at Springboro Health Center, last evening. It was wonderful to see so many from our team at these events.

We also received more great PCMH news this month. Last week we received the exciting update that Kettering Physician Network Primary Care – Walden Ponds, was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for achieving NCQA PCMH Recognition, Level 3. This is wonderful news and we want to congratulate the entire team.

It’s hard to believe that school will be starting again soon for many children in our community. I want to thank all of our Kettering Physician Network practices and departments who are collecting school supplies for the 2017 Kettering Medical Center annual Backpack and School Supply Project. Last year the program provided almost 200 students (children of relatives of network employees), with backpacks filled with school supplies for the school year. We are grateful that a number of our Kettering Physician Network team members have received assistance with school supplies through this program and are thankful to all who have donated to the supply drive. A reminder: if your practice or department would like to donate, please collect your supplies and contact the Kettering Health Network Courier service to pick up your supplies by Friday, August 4, for delivery to Kettering Medical Center Human Resources.

I want to wrap up this letter by giving a shout out to the team at Dayton Cardiology, who participated in a service project earlier this month, donating time to Hospice of Dayton. We received a few photos from their experience and have included them at the end of this newsletter. It’s wonderful to see our mission in action. Please continue to share the stories and photos from your practices, highlighting service or volunteer work.

I hope you are enjoying the sunshine and longer days this Summer. Thank you for your dedication to our patients and community. I wish you all a safe and blessed weekend.
