Congratulations to Brenda Smith, who was named Greene Memorial Hospital’s May Employee of the Month! Brenda works in Radiology at the hospital.
The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Brenda was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:
“Brenda is a wonderful coworker. She understands not only what it means to work as a team player but also understands what a patient truly needs to feel better. Brenda always talks to her patients even if they are vented and non-responsive so patients know that they are being cared for as well as listened too. Brenda constantly has a smile on her face and is happy to be working even when the day isn’t going well. She brings a smile to everyone she works with and patients can tell that she loves her job. Her positive energy is contagious to all she interacts with. I would trust Brenda if she was a tech taking care of me at Soin and I would recommend her to take care of my family as well. She is professional in front of patients as well as away from patients. Brenda demonstrates Kettering values to a “T” with everything she is involved in. Brenda is knowledgeable in her job and is willing to explain information not only to new hires or students who have questions but also to transporters who have a question about how the department wants a patient brought down for special tests so there is no confusion.”
