Hannah Mueller Named Kettering’s May Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Hannah Mueller, who was named Kettering’s May Employee of the Month! Hannah is a social worker at the hospital.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Hannah was nominated by a fellow employee, and you can read the nomination story below:

“Hannah is our new social worker on 5 West. She is doing an outstanding job and often goes beyond expectation. This week was another example. We have a patient that has been coming back to the hospital repeatedly due to her caregiver being overwhelmed. The patient was in observation status and did not qualify for an extended care facility stay paid by Medicare. The family could not afford to send her to the extended care facility. Hannah spent several hours over the course of the patient’s hospital stay to facilitate the daughter being able to take her home. Hannah helped the daughter set the patient with adult day care and private duty home care. The most impressive thing Hannah did was to continue to work on helping this family. She found a grant through the Alzheimer’s Society to help pay for some of the patient’s in-home care until patient is able to obtain Medicaid and be placed in a long-term extended care facility. Hannah continues to think and work outside of the box to not only help families but also help prevent re-hospitalizations.”
