On March 7, MyChart users will find new features and layouts that make it easier to access the information and care they need—whether it’s through the app or online portal.
On My Way function
The MyChart upgrade includes a new function called “On My Way,” giving patients the ability to let our emergency centers know when they will arrive and why they’re seeking care. It can also help our emergency centers have advance notice of potential patients and conditions.
This feature can be access through the “Find Care Now” section. Patients would click on the name of an emergency center and fill out information about their estimated time of arrival and potential condition. Once submitted, emergency centers will see these patients listed as “Expected” in their trackboard. Emergency centers will also see a note that those patients are from the On My Way workflow.
Redesigned home page
MyChart is debuting a redesigned home page that gives patients quick, easy access to common topics and activities like visits, medications, test results, and messages. The home page also includes an actionable feed of updates when they log in to help them focus on the most important information.
A new activity search feature and unified menu structure also help guide patients to the activities they’re looking for.
To ensure consistency across platforms, MyChart is aligning these changes across both the website and mobile app. All features that are available on the MyChart website are now also accessible to patients through the MyChart mobile app, and the new appearance is shared across platforms—ensuring that it’s an easy user experience for patients, no matter how they access MyChart.
