On March 11, 2018, Epic will be upgrading to the 2017 version.
Our top priority is making sure patient care remains uninterrupted. Throughout the process, Epic users will have access to training, upgrade previews, and support to prepare for the changes it will bring. The Information Systems team that implements the upgrade will use a method that minimizes the amount of system downtime.
Here is the timeline of the Epic upgrade:

This Epic upgrade includes enhancements that will:
- Improve user experience through numerous visual changes
- Improve patient experience through an updated After Visit Summary (AVS) document
Prepare for the upgrade
Users can visit the intranet page for details and resources (Resources > Epic > Epic 2017 Upgrade).
Online training will be available February 12 on the intranet page and may include a mix of HealthStream videos, powerpoint presentations, and tip sheets. More information on training to come–keep an eye out for upcoming IS Notifications via email.
