Congratulations to Sara Albright, a nurse on Med Surg at Southview Medical Center, for winning the hospital’s March DAISY Award!
The DAISY Award is given to nurses who demonstrate clinical skill and compassionate care. It was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who died of a disease attacking the immune system (DAISY). His family was awestruck by the care and compassion his nurses provided, so they established this award program. You can read Sara’s nomination story below:
“Sara always helps no matter what. If we’re drowning in patients, she’s the first to offer a helping hand. She’s always fun, positive, and bubbly. She never had a bad attitude, and she gives great patient care 100% of the time. I feel like she isn’t getting enough recognition, and she needs to know she’s appreciated by all her co-workers!”
