Summer of Wellness for July: Body

Summer of Wellness is an opportunity for you to focus on your wellness by engaging in different challenges. Each month of the summer will be focused on promoting wellness in one of three areas: mind, body, and spirit. There are two ways to enter to win:

  1. Send your pictures by submitting them on the Be Well website, which enters you into a raffle to win a monthly prize.
  2. Participate in a wellness challenge and track your progress. Each challenge is a month long, though you can submit any progress you make to be considered. Send a scan or image of your completed tracker to for a chance to win one of many gift cards:

It says in 1 Corinthians 6:19 that our bodies are temples of the Lord. You can do a lot to honor that temple. We encourage you to engage in a healthy practice this month, whether that’s jogging, revisiting that yoga mat, or even doing something like meeting up with an old friend that you haven’t had time for.

Sometimes, bettering the body means more than simply working out the body. In fact, eating right and staying hydrated are two of the most important things in staying healthy. We hope that you can make time for regular physical activity, not only to help with things like weight and mood, but also to combat health conditions and diseases.

Maybe you want to focus on rest. Whether you take a long walk to unwind, carve out quiet time for devotions, or get a full night’s rest, taking care of your body might mean bringing your body rest.
