Change—A Good Thing!

Read Time: 1 min

Dear Sycamore Family,
When I was given the opportunity to become the president of Sycamore Medical Center, Senior Services, and Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center, I did three things:
1. I prayed a prayer of gratitude and guidance regarding this change. I felt peace.
2. I called my husband and children about my work change. They were such a blessing with their encouraging words and support.
3. I had a talk with myself about change, thanking God for the opportunities I have had in my life’s journey. I knew it was His plan for me to be the new president of such a wonderful hospital as Sycamore. I had no fears or worries. I thought of this verse of promise: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.’”

I want to give my sincere thanks to every one of you for the welcomes I have received—even a birthday party! Your energy is infectious, your loyalty and love for our hospital gives me pride. Thank you! Our leadership has been amazing with new strategies, successful planning and implementation, and ongoing excellence in work throughout our campus. We have such a great future here, and I look forward to each new day of ideas, plans, and even change!

Many blessings,
