Ray Edquid was caring for a patient coming out of surgery when the patient had an extreme reaction to the anesthesia. Ray called a doctor to provide the patient with medication to calm him. During the next several weeks as the patient recovered, Ray visited him two more times on his days off to check in with the patient and his family. Ray is often recognized by patients, visitors, and co-workers for his care, attentiveness, and expertise.
